Turn it up!
Happy Monday! There was an inspirational film that came out a while back that I ran across recently. It’s the perfect way to start a week and it’s called 212 The EXTRA Degree. It’s message is a powerful one. It reminds us that ONE extra degree can make all the difference. One degree takes water from being hot to BOILING. And boiling water creates steam. Steam can power an engine. What if you took that same theory and turned up your efforts, energy, strategies, and skills -- just one extra degree? What kind of difference do you think that would make in your life? Would it be worth an extra listing? Perhaps five more listings? Would it mean the difference between worrying about where the next commission might come from and feeling financially secure? Maybe it would define you as a market leader, versus watching others take the honors? We know that in sports, SECONDS, sometimes microseconds can determine who takes home first place, and who doesn’t. Certainly in our business, the success stories that rise above, tell of those passionate about the game of real estate. They show up early, and often. They put systems in place. They are diligent and exceptional at building and keeping those valued relationships with clients and customers that yield them referrals and new business month-after-month and year-after-year. You can too. Just turn up the heat! And if you need help? Call me - I’ve got some terrific ideas that can fan the flames of your success.
Something to Think About:
It’s pretty amazing when you think about it. That old 80/20 sales rule still is still around. Recently I heard that the real estate business is more like 90/10. Ninety percent of the income is earned by ten percent of the agents who are turning up the heat. That means that the other 90% are splitting 10% of the income. Which category are you in, or more importantly which category do you want to be in? The best agents don’t jump out when the market gets tight. They turn up their skills. The best agents don’t give in when a seller wants to overprice. They turn up their negotiation techniques. The best agents aren’t threatened by other top agents entering the market place. They turn up their networking skills and give it that extra degree. The best agents don’t worry about that next commission check. They’ve created systems and have top-of-mind awareness with their sphere and farm so they consistently have a stream of business coming in. What a great business to be in. Our income and ability has NO ceiling. All it takes to get to the next level is to turn up the degree in which we commit and work for it.
